I had too much on my plate: daughter finishing high school & getting ready for college and a trip to South America. My elderly mother became more frail by the day in 2013 & passed in mid-June, I am the only child left and so had to wade through all the myriad estate duties (will hire a lawyer next time!), my job title changed at work as well as the work load (I'm getting too old for these changes LOL! Retirement in 2022 cannot come soon enough!), and I was diagnosed with anxiety disorder on top of it all - with all the above happening I guess I folded under the pressure.
However, through the wonders of a great doctor, modern medicine, yoga & meditation I'm back to my formally calm, creative self - feels SO good!
So, today being my birthday, or Kitty Ann Day as I like to call it now that I am on the backside of 50, I decided to start this blog anew to post my clothing, quilting and other fabric based pursuits. I purchased a new Pfaff Quilt Expression 4.2 sewing machine
as a Christmas present to myself (I sold my Janome Horizon 7700 to fund my purchase, just didn't bond with the Janome - I'm a Pfaff girl since getting my first one, a 1475 back in the mid 1990s).
Here's to 11 months of garments galore, quantities of quilts and maybe a twinkling of teddy bears thrown in for good measure! Yes, I am teaching myself to make mohair teddy bears this year - I already collect them so making them seemed a good thing to try.
Stay tuned for photos of February's creations from KittyAnnArt! >^..^<
